Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived in a musical family on 9 August 1993, in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is a cousin and daughter to the singing sensation Dionne. At the age of a small girl, Houston began singing professionally in her church's choir. Houston sang the backing vocals for Chaka Khosns 1978 single Im Every Woman with her mom. Later, she provided background vocals for Jermaine Jackson and Lou Rawls and her mother. Her work as the lead vocalist in New York funk group Material caught the eye of major record labels, including Arista, with which she signed in 1982 and continued to work for the remainder of her life. Whitney Houston's debut Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It became one of the best-selling album by a musician. All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one hit. The album was sold out of 3 million copies in its first year in the US as well as make 25 million copies worldwide, earning them the first six Grammys. Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as an anchorwoman, reporter, as well as a political correspondent.
